Training Services

Dyslexia is a specific learning difficulty which is explicitly listed under the Equality Act 2010 and failure to make reasonable adjustments can result in costly employment tribunal claims. Dyslexia can also bring great strengths which, if identified and supported, could help to improve your organisation's performance. I offer bespoke training to enable businesses and employers to support their dyslexic staff which in turn helps them to achieve their full potential at work.

This training is aimed at giving colleagues, Line Managers, and Human Resource teams a working understanding of the characteristics of dyslexia and the difficulties that can occur in the workplace, as well as giving practical advice with how to identify and support the individual themselves.

Awareness Raising

Dyslexia is complex and there can be some misunderstandings surrounding it. Awareness training aims to explore both the positive aspects of dyslexia that are often ignored and the range of difficulties that may be experienced by employees.

Support Strategies

At college, at home or in the workplace there are many effective strategies and techniques that can make a significant difference to people's lives. By creating an inclusive working environment all empoloyees can benefit.

Towards Independence

Encouraging adults with dyslexia to become independent learners is of paramount importance. This training explains and demonstrates a system of modelling and mentoring that eventually leads to independence.
